Viva La Diva Lipsticks
When I was in Norway last year for holiday, I discovered the Swedish brand Viva la Diva, that was founded in 2000. Their goal is to make high quality cosmetics for reasonable prices. So every woman can look like, well, a Diva. My boyfriend, at the time, wanted to give me 3 of their lipsticks. So I bought a red, a pink and a blue one, because why not? After a year of using the lipsticks, I can honestly say that they make me want to go back for some more. Here's why.
The packaging is designed to give a diva-like feel. I like it, it's obviously not anywhere near the quality of high end packaging. The rhinestones add a nice touch to the otherwise boring silver packaging.
When I swatched the lipsticks I immediately noticed how extremely pigmented Shark (the blue one) was. Colour explosion on my arm :P. The other two are also very pigmented.
The lipsticks feel very smooth and velvety. They do not dry out my lips, not even the pink one, while most matte lipsticks tend to do that.
The lipsticks have a pleasant smell and are enriched with Vitamin E.
Backstage is a baby pink shade and has a matte to velvety finish. This one does get into fine lines easily, so make sure to have smooth, moisturized lips.
Hang loose is an orangy-red with a cool undertone.
Shark is an intense baby blue. It was VERY hard to apply this. You can see every smudge and budge you make, it's even easier to apply a black lipstick on fair skin than this one.
I think it's fun to wear this colour to a theme-party.
All of the lipsticks together :)
The lipsticks cost around 8 euros a piece. I can't remember exactly because the prices were in Norwegian krones.
How do you feel about crazy coloured lipsticks like this blue one? Would you ever wear it?
♥ Love, Vivian
