MAC Lipstick And Blush

Goodday my fancy fall leaves,

Let's review some awesome MAC products that remind me of fall! Fall is my favorite time of the year, because of all the beautiful colours and scents. We can all enjoy fall till the 21st of December, that's when winter officially sticks his head around the corner. To be honest I'll just drag the fall spirit into the wet & freezing cold winter in Holland. It seems strange to me that California stays warm, even during the winter. Let's be real girls, California isn't cold, ever... period.
Anyways...On todays menu we have a burgundy lipstick and a warm blush. I bought them at Harrods a couple weeks back but today it's time to review them.

When I stepped into Harrods and saw the MAC store, I immediately knew I wanted a burgundy lipstick. (Don't really have a good reason for it, maybe because it's in style.) and a really lovely lady helped me out with picking a shade. I got to try on 3 different lipsticks. The 1st one was Rebel, which wasn't quite dark enough for me, still a lovely colour though. I don't remember what the second one was called. And then the 3rd one was Party Line. A beautiful colour and it made my skin look somewhat warm. Which is something my fair skin needs!

The lady also applied some concealer and some blusher so I could the effect better :)
Now as far as packaging goes: I love the way MAC has designed their products! It's sleek, usually easy to work with (I'm horrendous when it comes to opening packaging, scissors are my bff's).

Let's have a party, baby!

I'm quite sad that I'm not amazing at taking pictures. Now you can't see the colour as beautiful as I'm able to see it..
Anyways.. I love the way these lipsticks smell. I have quite a lipstick obsession, but these lipsticks are the ones that smell the best. No doubt! (eh, eh, eh in line and settle down! Anyone listened to No doubt's new album?)

Now some important questions:

How's the coverage? Great, can't say anything else about it. If you want less coverage you could use your finger to dap the lipstick onto your lips, like a stain!
Does it stay on? Yes, it survived the ultimate test:  Dinner at Pizza Hut (don't judge me, I was on vacation!). Ofcourse it wasn't perfect anymore, but some lipsticks just disappear when you eat something. This lipstick only faded a little.
Does the colour scare people? ;) Nope, random people still talked to me :) It's not a gothic colour, unless you dress it that way.

Lip swatches:

Lips are for some reason the hardest to take pictures of! My lips look extremely shiny, which they weren't. Plus the lipstick looks more reddish than in real life.. I hope you get the idea!

More beautiful packaging!  The lady put some blusher on my face, because the combination of my fair/pale skin and concealing some of my wreckels, totally washes me out and makes me look dead/translucent.
As soon as she put it on me I was sold. The only blush I had was this really pink one, that didn't cut it for me. This blush did excactly what a blush should do for my skin, it warmed me up! Hence the name Warm Soul.

Do I see a kitty hair on my blush?

It's so pretty! A beautiful bronzy shade with a light hint of shimmer. It would probably do the same as a highlighter on tan and dark skin tones.

Here you can see the shimmers.

Overal: These are great products, but I think that MAC products all have a great quality.

Do you buy make up products that fit with a season?

♥ Love, Vivian.
