Review: Lady Gaga - Fame

A little over a year ago Lady Gaga came out with her first perfume callled: Fame. I got it for christmas last year. It's strange how this black liquid is transparent on your skin. Lady Gaga and her team to their best to keep this a secret. I have no clue how it works, but what I do know is that it smells amazing. I use this perfume almost everyday. It smells sweet and mysterious. Wanna see a breakdown of Fame? Keep reading.

Books Books Books!: The Fault In Our Stars - John Green

"I'm a grenade," I said again. "I just want to stay away from people and read books and think and be with you guys because there's nothing I can do about hurting you; you're too invested, so just please let me do that, okay? I'm not depressed. I don't need to get out more. And I can't be a regular teenager, because I'm a grenade."

This is how Hazel Grace Lancaster describes herself in the Fault in our stars. Hazel Grace is a terminal cancer patient, dispite the medication that has bought her a few years. Hazel has accepted the fact that she doesn't have very long to live anymore and doesn't exactly do anything outside of going to college and watch America's Next Top Model. Her mother thinks that Hazel might be depressed and sends her off to Support Group. Where she meets Augustus Waters. This gorgeous boy is a cancer surviver, though it cost him his leg.

Hazel's life is going to be turned upside down by this boy. She falls in love with him and he grants her his "Wish" by taking her to Amsterdam to meet her hero, Peter van Houten, who has written her all time favorite book An Imperial Affliction. The conversation with mr. Van Houten doesn't go very well, since he turned out to be a pathetic alcholic man. Other than that they had a great time in Amsterdam.

Spoiler Alert

While in Amsterdam, Augustus tells Hazel that he doesn't have very long to live anymore. His cancer came back and has spreaded everywhere across his body. He died one month after he's told her this. Leaving her and Isaac (his best friend, who went blind during the book, due to cancer) broken behind.

The book ends with a beautiful letter written by Augustus, for Hazel.

End of Spoilering Business

This is a very good book. I didn't get bored once while reading this. Just when you think you've figured it out, something else happens. The plot twists are awesome. I hated it when I had to stop reading because I wanted to know what would happen next.
You can really feel the emotions that Hazel has. This book is very alive and there. I felt like I was part of the book and for me that's a sign of a good book. Plain books don't grab my attention so much and sometimes it even takes weeks for me to finish a book like that. FYI I read this book in two days.

I loved John Green, the writer of this book, before I even started reading this book. He's part of the VlogBrothers and I love their sense of humor. That made me really curious for this book. My expectations were very high and, well, I was not disappointed.

This rounds up my thoughts on the book. I'd say it's a great book to read and I even got my boyfriend hooked on it.
