Review: Lady Gaga - Fame

A little over a year ago Lady Gaga came out with her first perfume callled: Fame. I got it for christmas last year. It's strange how this black liquid is transparent on your skin. Lady Gaga and her team to their best to keep this a secret. I have no clue how it works, but what I do know is that it smells amazing. I use this perfume almost everyday. It smells sweet and mysterious. Wanna see a breakdown of Fame? Keep reading.

Since it was Christmas I got this perfume in a gift set. The box is made from sturdy carton and has a shiny, black and cold print. The inside of the box has a red velvety lining. Really pretty.  The gift set contained a roller ball, the perfume (50ml) and a temporary tattoo.

The temporary tattoo is a cool black 'n white line drawing of Lady Gaga. I haven't found a good occasion to use the tattoo but I will rock it when the time comes :P

The bottle has a beautiful and unique design. Not that I expected anything less from Miss Gaga, but you know, I have to mention is. The lid is inspired by a claw and I think the bottle is inspired by an egg. I think it's really cute, even though it's probably not meant to be cute.

I drag the roller ball everywhere. It's perfect for in your bag. The only downside is that it's not a refillable bottle. So I may need to get a travello when it's empty.

So now for the most interesting part. The notes in the parfume. The perfume is built from three parts: A dark part, a sensual part and a light part. There is no clear top, heart or base in this perfume.

The heart (dark part):
  • Belladonnna
  • burning incense
The base (sensual part):
  •  honey
  • saffron
  • apricotnectar
The top (light part):
  • Tigerorchid
  • arabic jasmin
Note: There is no actual Belladonna  plant in the perfume.

The scent is very sweet and out there. This is no unisex perfume like you might expect from LG. It's very feminine and that's exactly how I like my perfumes. It's very different from most other perfumes, especially when you look at the build up of the perfume (look it up, it's quite weird).

I think that  Richard Herpin (the man who actually created this perfume) did an awesome job. It's a perfume that many women will enjoy. It's a very broad but non-standard scent. Very ably.

 ♥ Love, Vivian
