Did you
know: This blog is actually meant to be
a beauty blog instead of a lifestyle blog. Yup, I have pretty much written
about lifestyle only. But not today! Today is
going to be a review of the new line from Yves Rocher called: Tradition de
hammam.
I have only
two products from the line. That’s why I added two more Yves Rocher products to
review!
The first
thing I’ll be reviewing today is the Nourishing Argan Balm. This is a
nourishing body lotion with organic argan oil.
I really
like the packaging. It sets a nice summery, bronzy mood. I believe this packaging is a test version so
you are able to test it out. The full sized lotion is in a jar (less hygienic).
The
lotion smells like vacation to me because my mother uses YR summer products
(after sun lotion is recommended!!) for as long as I can remember and every
summer product they have smell the same. I don’t mind that at all, since I
really adore this scent.
When we
look at the ingredients we see quite some oils, that’s good. However there are
parabens, which you could get allergic reactions from. There is alcohol in the
ingredients list too. Alcohol tends to dry out the skin.
The
lotion has the consistency of moisturizer. It spreads quite easily and it
leaves a soft skin behind.
You keep
smelling the lotion throughout the day. That could be a bad thing if you don’t
like the scent.
Overall
I like this lotion, but I don’t think it’s anything special. Just a nice lotion
that smells nice.
The mini
version of this product costs € 2.99 The bigger version costs € 22.50.
So if you want to test this body lotion, I suggest buying the mini version ;-)
Would I
buy this product again? I don’t think I would because there are so many body lotions
like this.
The oriental
velvety-skin scrub has pretty much the same packaging as the body lotion, very hygienic.
It smells a little different tough. It’s hard to explain but it smells somewhat
warmer.
This is definitely
not a skin scrub. It’s pretty rough. I love scrubs like this, scrubs with soft
grains don’t give me the feeling of scrubbing. After you use the scrub there
will be a thin layer of oil behind that withdraws in the skin pretty fast.
Again it
leaves a soft skin behind. You probably can’t stop touching your skin ;-)
I like
this scrub a lot. But I wouldn’t recommend
it if you have very sensitive skin.
The mini
version of this product costs € 2.99 The bigger version costs € 22.50. I forgot
to say that the bigger version is in a jar. So if you have that version leave
it outside the shower!
Would I buy
this again? Yes!
The
Autobronzant Self-tanner shimmering gel is an instant self-tanner. I’m going to
be very short about this self-tanner:
I like
it. It works like a gem.
The packaging
is pretty sleek, bronzy looking and hygienic. The scent is, again, nice and to
me it smells like summer.
It leaves
subtle shimmers behind when you use it. And it makes the skin more evened out
looking. I think the best thing about this is: you won’t look like a leopard
when you wake up the next day! It gives a few very small smudges, but that’s
when I look very critical at it :)
From left to right: The lotion, the scrub, the self tanner |
The
self-tanner costs € 14.90. I think that’s a reasonable price.
Would I buy
this product again? Yes!
YR noix
de coco lip balm
The
packaging of this lip balm is pretty standard but that isn’t a bad thing. There
isn’t a scent to this really. I can’t smell the coconuts, while this is a
coconut scented lip balm. I actually own a lot of YR lip balms and there is only one (the orange & chocolate lip balm
from a limited Xmas collection a year ago) that really smells like the
packaging says it would smell.
However:
I do like the YR lip balms. They may not smell like they’re supposed to but
they do feel nice on the lips. They’re not that oily and greasy as some other
lip balms I have. I think these lip balms are suitable for everyone (even
males) because they don’t give a shine whatsoever. They condition the lips
while staying invisible. It’s awesome!
The lip balm
costs € 2.50. but these are a lot in sale so keep your eyes open!
Would I buy
this product again? No, but only because they continue to release new lip
balms.
Would you buy any of these products?
♥ love, Vivian
