Power Naps!

 .
My lovely cat, ain't he cute? ♥

Feeling tired or sleepy during work? Out of energy?  Well forget about coffee! Power Naps are totally hot right now!
A Power Nap is a short nap that you take during the day to regain your energy. In just 5-20 minutes you could feel like you had a full night of sleep. But how do you take a power nap?

If you want to take a Power Nap you should try to plan it a little. Try to keep powernaps as much in the morning or after lunch as possible. Since it’s probably easier to wake up and feel awake if you do it early.
Now search for a preferably quiet place (and if possible a dark place). In order to keep your body from cooling down too much, you could drape a blanket over your body. Also try to make sure that you’re comfy by laying on a sofa of in a bed.
Now set your alarm clock. You can choose the length of your Power nap yourself but try not to nap any longer than 20 minutes.

Now you’re ready to power nap!  Lay down, close your eyes and relax! Don’t look at the screen of your alarm clock to see what time it is. You don’t have to try to force yourself to sleep, it won’t work. Just focus on relaxing. Total relaxation is what you’re going for, not sleep.

When the alarm clock rings, you must try to get up immediately, it’s a necessity. Even if you were having a beautiful dream, get up! You’ll probably feel extra tired if you go past your limit and it will be 10 times harder to sleep when you actually have to.

Tip: If you want a real kick start, you could try to drink a cup of coffee (caffeine) before you take your Power Nap.

Fun fact: Leonardo da Vinci, Albert Einstein and Thomas Edison were Power Napping before it was hot.

I hope you try Power Napping out. What do you usually do when you feel tired during the day?
