Sephora Sheet Masks
When in Rome, I was in the Sephora looking at the colourful sheetmasks they were selling. I never had a good experience with sheet masks before, but I decided to give it another go. I bought their Rose mask and their Ginseng mask. And wow let me tell you, was I definitely pleasantly surprised! Here's why:
Can we just start of by saying that the packgaging is terrific? I'm a sucker for bright and oustanding packaging and this just cuts right to the chase.. Cool! What I do have to mention is that the packaging is a bit ungainly. They're big, round discs that you have to carry, but in a way that makes them more special also.
The instructions are pretty clear. Take the mask out of the packaging, apply to a cleansed face and take it of after 15 minutes, massaging the excess product in to the skin, no need for rinsing. Sounds easy enough, right?
The Ginseng mask promises to tighten, tone and energize the skin. I did feel the tightening effect of the mask, my skin felt all nice after this mask. I didn't see much of that toning-effect it should be giving, but I don't really have a skin that needs a lot of toning, so maybe that's why.
The Rose mask is for plumper, fresher and brighter skin, which is also "Ultra moisturizing". Just after a minute of having this mask on, my face started to tingle and burn a little bit. I decided not to take it off but to see what would happen. after about 7 minutes the tingling and burning sensation was gone and it just felt like a nice mask. This mask didn't moisturize my skin as much as I hoped for, but the fresher and brighter skin was visible to me.
This is the before and after of the Rose mask. See if you can spot the difference :-P . Also, see how well the mask sticks to my face? Wet, but not too wet, I like it!
The Sephora Sheet Masks are sold for $6.00 a piece at Sephora or Sephora.com.
Are you a fan of sheet masks? And why?
♥ Love, Vivian
